Using living bamboo (still rooted in the earth) bent and covered with a tarp to protect from the Guangxi province’s summer rains, this temporary school can be returned back to nature once it is no longer needed. Other structures utilize local skill, creating the construction from only bamboo poles and rope. These simple structures will provide inexpensive schools for a village that must wait another three years for the government to build them an official schoolhouse.
