This market hall has been built in Pungue, Mozambique, and was built in response to the subsistence farmers of the region needing an area to sell their goods. The area around Pungue had already been an informal selling and gathering place, but with this beautiful bamboo market, there is now incentive for farmers to have a regular, shaded area to sell their wares.
