Using indigenous bamboo of the region, this hotel is proposed for the Su Zhou preservation zone in China. Using gutters to collect rainwater from the roof awnings, the water is directed for use inside the building’s central cooling system, and then directed into a bamboo grove. The plants from this grove can then be used to expand or maintain the building structure, constantly in a process of “growing” the building.
